The National Survey on the Use of Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco (2017) reflects an increase in the consumption of legal and illegal substances. The use of illegal drugs in adolescents has doubled in the last 5 years. 14.5% of secondary and high school students reported excessive alcohol consumption and 7.4% of them reported smoking daily. Addictions are associated with failing grades, family dysfunction, different types of violence, teenage pregnancy and also affect brain development.

We promote the development of life skills, emphasizing the analysis of alternatives and decision making for a healthy life. Our program content is backed by scientific evidence that shows the importance of delaying the onset of alcohol use in youth to prevent addiction later. We highlight the negative effects of substance use on brain development in adolescence.
