We have school-based early HIV/AIDS prevention programs and we have piloted innovative community strategies that include rural shopkeepers and pharmacists.
We focus on preventing risk factors for cancer from an early age and on enhancing the early detection of some types of cancer, paying special attention to the right to healthcare.
We enable parents and caregivers to change their behaviors to create healthy environments for young children, increasing breastfeeding, SIDS prevention and adequate stimulation.
We achieve changes in basic hygiene and sanitation habits at the individual and family levels. We promote the change of social norms to build and maintain healthy communities.
We tackle both the stigma of seeking help for emotional problems and the issue of emotional exhaustion in health personnel, aiming to improve the doctor-patient relationship.
We build the ability of individuals to make responsible decisions about proper nutrition, increased physical activity and the use of specialized care services.
We are pioneers in building life skills to prevent teen pregnancy, first undertaken through our "Planning Your Life" program.
Our award-winning substance prevention work, based on life skills and staying in school, has been recognized by Queen Silvia of Sweden and the Mentor Foundation.
We promote attitudes, habits and behaviors aimed at integrating physical activity as a fundamental strategy for physical and mental health in all ages and across all contexts.
