Of the two million births per year registered in Mexico, one-fifth correspond to women under the age of 19. Ten thousand of these women are 14 or younger. In Mexico City, 76,000 teens become pregnant every year and 80% drop out of school. In 33% of the cases they are single mothers. Early pregnancy affects the physical and emotional health of the mother and her child; in most cases teens have information about contraception but do not put it into practice. This is a public health problem.

We are pioneers in applying life skills for the prevention of teenage pregnancies. More than 14 million people from 17 countries have participated in various components of the program, thanks to the methodology that allows for the workshops to be replicated. Workshops include updated scientific information for each age group and encourage informed and responsible decision making, management of emotions, planning, self-awareness and assertive communication and negotiation, among other tools.
