FORMING LIFE PLANS
TEACHER TRAINING
The new educational reform sees the purpose of school to be not only to teach students what they do not know, but to help children and young people think for themselves. The new pedagogical approach favors students´ autonomy through the development of comprehension, critical thinking and research skills, in order for students to apply these tools for lifelong learning.
To respond to these challenges, we offer a teacher training that starts with a basic life skills module and then incorporates modules that meet the specific needs of each school.
Results from our teacher trainings include:
-
+28%
Increase in behaviors key for preventing school dropout
-
+24%
Increase in analytical thinking
-
+43%
Increase in addiction prevention behaviors among secondary school students
-
+22%
Increase in motivation and responsibility towards studies among primary school students
I WANT TO, I CAN PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS
At each school, we take the following steps to bring about significant changes:
Through focus groups, we identify the needs of each school.
We train teachers in key skills to prevent school dropout and promote the development of different types of intelligence. With our accompaniment, teachers then replicate the program with their students. We also involve parents in new approaches to education.
Most of our projects include research designs that use randomized control groups.
SCHOOL FOR PARENTS
Our programs aimed at parents and caregivers provide the tools necessary to raise healthy and successful children.
The programs cover fundamental topics, such as: attachment, developmental stages, the parent-child relationship and establishing limits based on affection and trust. Communication around difficult topics, including sexual abuse and violence, is emphasized. The programs are based in workshops or interactive talks with content specific to children ages 0 to 3 years, 0 to 12 years and adolescents.
INTERACTIVE CONFERENCES
We have collaborated with a wide range of educational institutions, offering workshops, courses and diplomas focused on behavioral changes, applying the theoretical framework that underlies our programs.
The lectures are interactive and fun and allow the participants to experience a sample of our work. Each conference is designed for the target audience.
We seek to collaborate in educational forums that expand the limits of what can be achieved through behavior change and empowerment.
