Implement a program to reduce risky behavior of youth, through building the knowledge of matriculated and non-matriculated youth and developing their skills and abilities; strengthening youth health services; and advocating for supportive public policies.

Project objectives

Empower young people: Build young people’s knowledge and capacity on risk behaviors e.g. through peer education, enabling them to make informed choices and protect and ensure their health over the long term.

Mobilize communities: Increase community knowledge and awareness on the importance of reducing risky youth behaviors and build community buy-in to facilitate a healthy environment.

Strengthen health services: Improve health systems including access to and quality of youth-friendly services so they meet the specific needs of adolescents.

Advocate for an enabling policy environment: Strengthen and advocate for a legal framework and policy environment which facilitates and reinforces risk behavior prevention in adolescence.
