I want to, I can … enjoy physical activity and sports

Pilot program, expanded into a full initiative, focused on the promotion of physical activity and sports in Mexico City´s public schools to promote a generation of children in movement, inside and outside the school environment, and contribute to their human development.

Project objectives

Increase children´s opportunities related to the culture of movement, such as playing, practicing different physical activities and sports in the school environment.

Promote specific actions to promote Active Schools, which build an environment that inspires movement and where children learn more and improve their school performance.

Increase valorization of Physical Education and the recognition of teaching staff who promote a culture of movement in the school environment.

Increase the motivation and training of physical education teachers and their role within the school in such a way that their contribution to child development is recognized and valued.

Involve the school community (teachers, principals and parents) in the promotion of physical activity within and beyond the school.
