To promote the comprehensive community development of the PROSPERA-recipient families in the municipality of Metlatónoc, Guerrero. The project covers hygiene and nutrition, family co-existence, violence prevention and masculinities, aimed at equality and empowerment.

Project objectives

Encourage healthy behaviors including personal hygiene habits, community waste management, healthy eating, and the creation and maintenance of home gardens through providing knowledge, promoting attitudes and building life skills.

Strengthen life skills, personal agency and intrinsic empowerment which favor the development of equality and non-violent behaviors.

Reduce fear, guilt and shame which prevent equality and the development of non-violent behaviors.

Promote attitudes towards gender equality, through the development of life skills and behavioral integration, to eradicate dominant positions of men which influence traditions such as the sale of women.

Strengthen actions within communities to promote human rights and avoid such acts as the sale of women and forced marriages.
