Implementing a model to raise awareness on the importance of a healthy environment to comprehensively improve child care for children 0-3 years old. Aimed at preschool teachers and includes parents.
Project objectives
Identify the main problems in preschools related to healthy environments.
Develop for teachers a manual and didactic kit with basic contents and key messages on 4 thematic areas: hygiene, safety and accident prevention; nutrition; emotional climate, attachment and non-violence; and proper stimulation and play.
Implement a series of interactive conferences for preschool teachers, raising their awareness on the four thematic areas and taking a holistic approach to the development of life skills, human rights and gender equity.
Improve the conditions in preschool centers so as to establish healthy childcare environments for children 0 to 6 years old.
Evaluate the effect of the program by comparing results in a sample of educational centers, before and after program implementation.
