Implement a model to create social and economic change agents in municipalities of Hidalgo state, in the wake of Hurricane Ingrid. A network of promotors was trained to prevent natural disasters, savings habits were developed in the community and microenterprises were launched to reactivate the local economy.
Project objectives
Promote preventative actions in the face of possible disasters, including floods, landslides and common accidents.
Mitigate the residual impacts of Hurricane Ingrid on the region.
Reactivate the local economy through catalyzing microenterprises Reactivar la economía local mediante el impulso de microempresas y proyectos productivos acorde a las habilidades y recursos disponibles en la región.
Build savings habits and promote the establishment of community banks to both provide financial education alternatives locally and serve as a source of financing for new microenterprises.
Develop participants' life skills such that people identify their own potential and become agents of change in their family and community.
